Chennai: In a heartening initiative, actor Vishal’s ‘Devi Foundation’ has once again extended its support to underprivileged students, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder their academic aspirations. This year, the foundation has facilitated college admissions for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds for the 2024 academic session.
The Devi Foundation, named after Vishal’s mother, has been a beacon of hope for many over the years. Known for its wide range of philanthropic activities, the foundation focuses on providing educational opportunities to those who excel academically but lack financial resources.
For 2024, the foundation targeted students from farming families, first-generation graduates, and orphans living below the poverty line. Through meticulous registration and counseling sessions, the foundation selected deserving students and secured their admissions in various arts and engineering colleges.
Beyond education, the Devi Foundation is renowned for its comprehensive community support programs:
